This clinic is designed to teach young baseball players how to properly prepare their throwing arm and develop sound throwing mechanics. The 90-minute program will cover proper stretching techniques, instruction on how to play catch correctly, and how to develop a progressive throwing routine. Participants will also learn the correct way to grip a baseball and go through a structured pitching warm-up. Players will not pitch to a catcher during this clinic. Instruction will be led by Mike O’Shea, a former collegiate baseball player at the University of St. Francis and a current Chicago White Sox youth baseball instructor.
Participants are required to bring their own baseball glove, water bottle, and must wear proper athletic clothing and baseball cleats.
Registration deadline: Friday July 10, midnight
