About this program

Messy Makers is a parent + child early learning program designed to gently prepare little ones for the preschool experience through play-based exploration, routine, and social interaction. Each class provides a consistent, welcoming structure that helps children build confidence with separation, transitions, and group participation—all key components of school readiness. Through hands-on sensory and creative play, children naturally develop foundational skills while engaging alongside peers. Rather than formal instruction, children are guided through thoughtfully designed “invitations to explore” that support: Social skills (sharing space, parallel play, early cooperation) Language development (naming, describing, communicating needs) Fine motor skills (grasping tools, squeezing, scooping, early writing motions) Early learning concepts (colors, shapes, textures, cause & effect) Independence & confidence in a group setting Activities may include sensory bins, simple art materials, dough, pouring and scooping stations, and open-ended building—each chosen with developmental growth in mind. Children are encouraged to move at their own pace while caregivers remain close by, offering support and connection as needed. Our instructors help guide interactions, model language, and support positive peer experiences throughout class. This program creates a low-pressure, nurturing first classroom experience—helping children feel comfortable, capable, and excited about learning with others.
