Trunk-or-treats are a fun and safe way for kids to load up on candy while families enjoy community spirit. Across Kankakee County, schools, churches, businesses, and organizations decorate cars and hand out treats, creating festive mini-Halloweens before the big night. With events happening throughout October, there’s a trunk-or-treat for everyone to enjoy.
Trunk or Treat @ Halloween Downtown Kankakee · Kankakee Depot Square

Trunk-or-Treat will take place in Festival Square (in front of the train depot) from 12pm to 3pm.
There will be a prize for the best-decorated vehicle.

Gather your ghouls and goblins for the Village of Manteno’s Main Street Trick-or-Treat in partnership with the Rotary Club of Manteno and the Manteno Chamber of Commerce. Trick-or-Treat down Main Street and enjoy seasonal activities at The Square on 2nd!

From family-friendly festivals to seasonal performances and haunted attractions, there are plenty of ways to celebrate throughout October. Halloween Downtown is an annual festival that brings different aspects of the community together for a day of family fun. The event features local businesses and non-profits running free-to-play games and activities, each with a Halloween theme. There’s also music, local food vendors, merchandise vendors, and in the afternoon, there is a trunk-or-treat.
Games and activities will be located in the Farmer’s Market parking lot.
Entertainment will be at the Gazebo.
Vendors and special attractions will be on the 200 block of S. Schuyler.
Trunk-or-Treat will be around the train depot fountain.
