Design. Create. Master. Welcome to our new Teen Makerspace series! This program is designed to give you a deep dive into the library's creative technology. We focus on one specific machine for a three-part series, learning how to design, create, and make!
Our next series: Laser Cutting with the Glowforge
How it Works: This is a 3-week commitment. To ensure everyone learns the necessary safety and design software, attendance at Session 1 is mandatory to participate in the rest of the block.
The Project: Learn how to use professional-grade laser technology to turn digital designs into physical objects. We’ll cover how to differentiate between cutting and engraving, and how to prep your files for the laser.
Create and Take: Everyone will design and "print" their own custom laser-cut items—ranging from acrylic keychains to engraved wooden tech stands or jewelry.
Registration covers the full 3-week block. Space is limited to ensure everyone gets plenty of time on the machine!
Stay tuned for more Teen Makerspace series!
