The MakerLab is open! Register in advance for an appointment. Then, bring your own paper/vinyl/fabric & create a project using a variety of machines!
MakerLab events are not classes, but a staff member will be available to assist you.
This month’s available machines:
Cricut: Bring a few sheets of cardstock and choose from several projects! Bring heat transfer vinyl & a shirt, and we’ll help you create a custom t-shirt!
Cricut Heat Press: This machine will fuse your custom vinyl design onto a shirt.
Cricut Mug Press: Bring a mug, and we’ll help you add your own design! Bring a straight-walled sublimation-compatible mug to use our infusible ink markers and create your own design. Bring permanent adhesive vinyl, and you may use any mug.
AccuQuit Fabric Cutter: We have several different-shaped dies for you to choose from! Bring your own fabric. If you need to iron your fabric, please do that before you arrive.
Button Maker: You may design your button on a MakerLab laptop, then print your design before using the Button Maker. The library charges 15 cents per page for black-and-white copies and 30 cents per page for color copies.
-We have 2 button sizes: a 1.25-inch and a 2.25-inch. The cost is 10 cents per pinback button or 25 cents each for a flatback.
-A flatback will give you the ability to glue a magnet to the back- perfect for displaying on your refrigerator!
-The 2.25-inch will accept photo paper! You may bring photos from home and turn them into a button.
Need some inspiration? We have plenty to share! Stop in and take a look at the example projects on display.
