Here are our top five spring break activities for families and friends to enjoy together during spring break week and beyond.

1. Funland at Adventure Commons (70 Ken Hays Drive, Bourbonnais)

If you’re looking for an indoor, high-energy way for the kids to burn off some steam while school is out, look no further than Funland at Adventure Commons. This special event takes place during school breaks—including spring break, Thanksgiving break, and winter break—and features an assortment of bounce houses recommended for children ages 2 and up.

Admission is one price for children 3 and under and another price for children 4 and up. You can also return for a second session on the same day at half price! Before you go, keep a few important guidelines in mind:

- Do not bring your child if they are running a fever.
- All participants must wear socks.
- A completed waiver is required for entry.

2. Hot dogs at Jaenike’s

Whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced ice dancer, Ice Valley in Kankakee offers something for everyone. Grab your friends and get ready to make some cool memories on the ice. Public skate is open to all ages. Don’t feel comfortable on the ice yet? Or have your own skates? No problem! 4. Bradley 315 Sports Park (315 Champions Way, Bradley)


This expansive facility first opened its gates in May 2025 and is a sports and entertainment destination for the whole family. From the baseball themed children’s playground, to the two fishing ponds, to the bocce ball and foosball courts to the batting cages, there is no shortage of activity at the 127 acre complex.

Parents and caregivers may want to plan to come back for an adults only outing at Plate’d Social, a full-service restaurant and sports bar operated by Tommy Vasilakis of BrickStone fame. And as of spring 2026 are offering a full Sunday brunch menu. Oh yeah! Whether you’re there for a tournament, a practice, or a family day out, Bradley 315 offers something for everyone.

5. Willowhaven Park (1451 N. 400 E. Road, Kankakee)


Open daily from sunrise to sunset, Willowhaven is a beautiful 120 acre park space managed by the Bourbonnais Township Park District. Families can easily spend all morning or afternoon enjoying all the park’s amenities. There is a spacious outdoor picnic pavilion, a playground, over 1.5 miles of hiking trails, wildflower gardens, a 9-hole disc golf course, a fitness station, and three fishing outlooks. Dog owners can also utilize the park dog if they have an active membership. Memberships can be purchased at the Willowhaven Center or Perry Farm House during normal business hours.
