Kankakee YMCA
The Kankakee Area YMCA has been an invaluable resource for area families for over 60 years. They feature two swimming pools, basketball courts, weights, cardio equipment, fitness classes, and more. The Kankakee YMCA also offers free on-site daycare for anyone with a family membership.
A family membership at the Kankakee Area YMCA costs $90 to enroll, and $78 per month. With a family membership, you are able to stay on-site to workout, while your kids between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years-old are watched over by the child care staff. There is a two hour limit per day, and you must stay on YMCA property while your children are in their care. Check the Kankakee Area YMCA website for hours of availability for their childcare option.
If you work out 3 times per week, four weeks of the month, for 2 hours at a time, that’s 24 hours of child care for $78 dollars per month, which is $3.25 per hour. Other than a grandparent, you’ll probably never find child care for such an affordable rate. Fitness Premier - Manteno and Bourbonnais
Fitness Premier is a nice place to work out, and having locations in Manteno and Bourbonnais means less travel time for parents who live in those areas. They feature free weights, cardio equipment, fitness classes, a sauna, and more. Fitness Premier also offers their free on-site Kid’s Club with their Relax + Restore membership ($70/month) and their Premier membership ($150/month). Anyone who has the standard Platinum membership ($40/month) can also pay $10 to use the Kid’s Club for the day. There is a two hour daily time limit for childcare at Fitness Premier, no matter what membership level you have.
The Fitness Premier Manteno Kid’s Club is open Monday/Wednesday morning 8-10 am, Monday-Thursday 4-7pm, and Saturdays 8-12pm. The Fitness Premier Bourbonnais Kid’s CLub is open 8-12pm Monday-Saturday and 4-7:30pm Monday-Thursday. There is a two hour limit per day, and you must stay on Fitness Premier property while your children are in their care.

Riverside Health and Fitness Club
Riverside Health and Fitness in Bourbonnais is the highest quality workout center in Kankakee County, hands down, but it will cost you a bit more. They feature free weights, cardio equipment, an indoor track, two swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and more. They also offer on-site daycare for all of their members, which they call “Kid Zone”.
There is one level of membership at RHFC, and it is $80/month. Kid Zone is for children 10 weeks to 10 years old, and the limit is two hours per day, per child. The drop-in rate for Kids Zone is $8 per child. Punch passes are available for $100, and they come with 20 punches. An unlimited pass is $55 per month, and each child needs their own unlimited pass.
RHFC Kid Zone hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am to noon. Afternoon Kid Zone is from 3:30-7pm Monday-Thursday, and requires a 24 reservation made at least 24-hours in advance.
